Stephen Ministry

This Ministry equips lay people to provide Christian caregiving to those going through difficult times such as divorce, illness, job loss, death of a loved one or hospitalization. Care is provided on a one-to-one, woman-to-woman, man-to-man basis. Stephen Ministers go through a 50-hour training program that is held as needed, usually once a year. Learn more at the national Stephen Ministry Website.

If you have a heart for the hurting and are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister, contact Susanne Hopkins, Karen Shepersky, or Pastor Steve Herder through the church office (805) 495-0406 or
e-mail Susanne.
